Heavy wood chairs encourage you to not sit too long and the Hurricane shutters over the windows dampens the ambience of the room. Large, separated dining areas made a more intimate, quiet setting. Nicole was friendly and made our dining experience enjoyable. The garlic mashed potatoes was a delicious compliment side. Medium Ribeye made its entrance crackling and popping, with a tender grilled quality and mouth watering flavor. My meal first started with garlic rolls and a garden salad with a made from scratch creamy Italian Dressing. Perfectly aged, cut on premises steaks come to your table sizzling hot. Complete menu, full bar, two buffets offering authentic family Italian recipes, desserts, Earlybird menu and nightly specials. With over 41 years of crafting their trade and receiving many awards, Angelo’s has set the benchmark on quality steaks and “All-You-Can-Eat” Italian Buffet. I would highly recommend this for those of you trying to eat cheap or those that are just looking for a tasty Italian dinner. It was cheaper than olive garden and tasted better. My kids gobbled down the food, which speaks for itself. Most of the options tasted super fresh and all were hot. The buffet varies but some items tonight consisted of spaghetti (with tomato sauce or meat sauce), Italian sausage, meatballs, lasagna, Italian green beans, chicken cacciatore, meat ravioli, stuffed shells, tortellini Alfredo, a potato and beef dish, chicken Alfredo, and pizza. He brought us a salad with a homemade dressing along with garlic rolls. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. It was 16 for adults, 9 for children 4-9, and free for those younger. My family ordered off the buffet, which was cafeteria style. The menu is vast and most of the people ordered steak near us. The restaurant focuses on yeti key themes, Italian and steaks. I would recommend coming earlier or making reservations during peak season. Trying to eat on a family friendly budget at Myrtle Beach can be quite a challenge, but Angelo's met that challenge tonight and provided a great meal for a PHENOMENAL price.įirst, this place was busy for a Thursday during off season. We will not be visiting here again! If you ever want some good seafood and excellent service, try the Inlet Crab House or Hooks Seafood buffet! And when my husband paid for the food, it took the waiter forever to come back with his card. They were already getting their food while we were still waiting for drinks! When we asked for the check, that took forever to come. There were parties who arrived after us who got faster service than we did. I had to walk all the way to the hostess stand to get a kids menu myself. We asked a waiter for a kids menu as our 7 year old daughter will not eat $22 worth of food on the buffet. There were 3 waiters assigned to our table all at the same time. Service was horrible! After a long wait, we were seated and still waited at least 10 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. The food was mediocre except for the crab legs. We’ve eaten here plenty of times, but this was by far the worst experience. The only reason it's not a 5-star review is because of the condition of the crab legs. I particularly enjoyed the fried scallops, she crab soup, shrimp, sausage, and salmon. Everything else though was very hot and fresh. The crab legs were a bit cool and were hard to crack and the desserts were subpar. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant was incredibly clean and functions very well despite being very busy. My kids love throwing money into the fountain outside. The outside of the restaurant is gorgeous. The early bird took $3 off the price but is was still $44 per person and 23 per child. We arrived early enough on a Friday to get the early bird special. My parents would stop here when I was a child and now as an adult I got to share the experience with my kids. One of my memories when I think of Myrtle Beach is Captain George's.
